- Nick Floyd founded 3 Floyds in Hammond, Indiana in 1996
- The brewery started with a five-barrel brew kettle, repurposed Swiss cheese fermenters, and an old Canfield's Cola tank
- 3 Floyds began distilling spirits in 2017 at their distillery in Munster, Indiana
