Double Mountain Welcomes Cozy Season with Two Winter Seasonal Releases

From Double Mountain:

As the crisp air rolls in and the days grow shorter, Double Mountain Brewery & Cidery invites you to warm up with the flavors of the season by introducing this year’s winter releases: Hey, Porter! Robust Porter and the annual return of the beloved Fa La La La La Winter Ale. Both beers are crafted to bring cozy, Northwest vibes to any chilly evening.

A true winter warmer, Hey, Porter! is a robust porter- a style known for its depth, dry finish, and stronger alcohol content. Robust porters are bold and complex, with a drier, roast-forward flavor compared to their sweeter counterparts. This beer pours dark garnet, nearly black in color, with enticing aromas of roasty toasty coffee. Each sip offers notes of toffee and a hint of raisin, balanced by a mild lingering bitterness that finishes crisp.

This year’s Fa La La La La Winter Ale continues to shine with a bold, Centennial-forward profile, staying true to brewmaster Matt Swihart’s original vision. Adjustments include dialing back the Crystal malt and adding Red X malt to maintain its rich color while creating a lighter mouthfeel that lets the Centennial hops truly glisten. With late and dry hop additions, this Fa offers vibrant aromas of evergreen, ripe citrus, and juicy pine, balanced by a crisp mouthfeel and a lingering, pleasant bitterness.

Whether you’re a fan of dark, roasty porters or aromatic winter ales, Double Mountain has you covered this season. Join them in the taproom or find these releases on tap or in bottles at local retailers, and embrace the warmth of winter!

’Tis the season to share beer, joy, and connection- cheers!
