LOS ANGELES, CA (October 8, 2024) – A collection of classic and unseen portraits of taken by renowned music photographer Greg Watermann titled: “I Got Pictures On My Wall” will go on display at the Eye For Sound gallery launching on Saturday, October 19 and continuing through Saturday, October 26. This retrospective exhibit features iconic archival images of the legendary GRAMMY© Award-winning rock band System Of A Down.
For the past three decades, photographer Greg Watermann has specialized in documenting the creativity of many timeless, iconic musicians. Over the years, his all-access approach to shooting has placed him on stage and behind-the-scenes in the dressing rooms, tour buses, and recording studios of Rock’s biggest stars. Watermann’s intimate perspective and embedded style gives fans the feeling of “really being there,” making him the choice live photographer for System Of A Down, Linkin Park, Toby Keith, and more.
Greg Watermann: “Being the first featured photographer at the Eye for Sound gallery is an amazing opportunity. It’s the perfect place to exhibit a collection from my SOAD archive. My portraits are part of their history. And they’ve always been my favorite band to photograph live. Their crazy on-stage expressions match the energy flow of the music, which makes shooting their concerts a happy challenge."
During show week from 5-9pm, art fans can join Greg Watermann for an immersive and intimate hour of visual storytelling – showcasing photos that span two decades of System Of A Down's legacy at the newly established Eye For Sound Gallery in Los Angeles.
