Hidden away from peering eyes, up on the third floor of the brewery, we have our pilot system which is our own little brewing playground. Our upcoming Oktoberfest celebrations have been inspiring our brewers, and the fruits of their work will be revealed beginning Friday, September 20.
Read on for what you can be enjoying when you visit later this month.
Oktoberfest 2024
at Saint Arnold
We’ll start with a Kickoff Celebration on Friday, September 20, end with our annual two day bash on October 4 and 5, and feature German inspired beer and food on our menu the whole way in between. These Small Batch beers are being brewed just for Oktoberfest season at our Beer Garden to highlight German brewing traditions. You won’t find these releases anywhere else.
German-style Hefeweizen
Debuting Friday, September 20
This hefeweizen stays true to German brewing conditions: high amount of wheat, multiple mash steps… and no dry hop. However, we did put some American influence on it by using Strata hops from the Pacific Northwest. Enjoy the banana and clove aroma, balanced by a honey and biscuit malt character.
Festbier
Debuting Wednesday, September 25
A traditional, German-style Festbier, using a combination of German and Czech ingredients. This beer displays a slightly higher malt character comprised of three different German malts. The malt sweetness is supported by a light, hop profile using German Amira and Czech Saaz hops that provides floral and citrus notes.
Helles
Debuting Friday, September 27
A traditional, Munich-style Helles using 100% all German ingredients. A light, floral hop aroma comes from our hand selected Hallertau Hersbrucker hops and provides balance to the subtle, malt sweetness.
Schwarzbier
Debuting Wednesday, October 2
Schwarzbiers - also called black lagers - are reminiscent of German-style dunkels but drier, darker, roastier, and lighter. Ours displays a balance chocolate and light coffee flavors with a moderate hop bitterness.
German Pils
Debuting Friday, October 4
A truly iconic beer style, this one's a traditional German-style Pilsner, using 100% German ingredients. It features a bountiful aroma of fresh floral and citrus notes, with a firm, yet refreshing hop bitterness.
