Anheuser-Busch to Host Second-Annual Blues & Brews Event to Celebrate Commitment to St. Louis and Kick Off the St. Louis Blues Season

Hometown brewer brings together St. Louis players, fans, and community for a one-of-a-kind event on the streets of the historic brewery

ST. LOUIS, MO (Sept. 19th, 2024) – Blues hockey is back! To celebrate the start off the 2024-25 St. Louis Blues season, Anheuser-Busch is hosting the second-annual Blues & Brews event on Friday, Sept. 20 at the Anheuser-Busch Brewery, sponsored by Bud Light, 101 ESPN and 92.3 WIL. This outdoor street party will include live music, appearances by Blues players and alumni, food trucks, and more on the historic streets of the brewery. Tickets are $20 and are on sale now at stlouisblues.com

“Anheuser-Busch, its brands, and the Blues deliver unmatched experiences, like Blues & Brews, that unite players, fans, and our hometown community. We’re grateful to show up for the moments that matter most and give back to the city that has given us so much because that’s who we are,” said Colleen Lucas, VP of Community Impact, Anheuser-Busch. “We can’t wait to welcome the Blues back to our iconic campus and celebrate the start of another exciting season.”

“The Blues were born with a nod to the rich music history of St. Louis and the Mississippi river region. With the Note as our defining icon, Blues hockey and blues music are indelibly linked. The Anheuser-Busch name and product is also entwined in the culture of St. Louis and with the Blues,” said Steve Chapman, St. Louis Blues Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer. “We look forward to celebrating ‘the season of hockey’ all around St. Louis – as well as the opening of Blues training camp - as we toast the coming season, some great music, and the iconic brewery with our friends.”

This year’s event features performances by St. Louis’ own Charles Glenn Group and headlined by country music star, and friend of Anheuser-Busch, Matt Stell. Blues players, alumni and broadcasters will also take the stage to welcome fans back for the start of the season. Guests can soak up the atmosphere of the iconic brewery setting with a visit to the historic Clydesdale stables, food trucks, pop-up bars, games in the Biergarten and a complimentary Bud Light (for guests 21+) or bottled water. Exclusive Blues & Brews merchandise will also be available for purchase.

Anheuser-Busch started as a small neighborhood brewery in the 1850s, nestled in the heart of St. Louis. As the company has grown to become the nation’s leading brewer and an iconic American institution, it has remained deeply rooted in St. Louis to drive economic prosperity in its hometown and connect with its consumers, who are its friends, family, and neighbors. Each year, the brewer continues to invest in its St. Louis facilities and spends $700M with local suppliers and $12M on local sponsorships to uplift the community and support the nearly 3,000 A-B employees who call St. Louis home.

The Anheuser-Busch Brewery is located at 1200 Lynch Street. Doors to Blues & Brews will open at 6 p.m. CT and free parking will be available in front of the tour center and other nearby lots. Attendees are allowed to bring their own lawn chairs, but they must be removed from any cover or bag. For additional event details, please visit stlouisblues.com.
