From Coors:
What: Coors Banquet, the beer proudly born and brewed in the heart of wildfire country since 1873, is marking 10 years of support for firefighters around the U.S. with its national Protect Our Protectors program. To celebrate more than $2.5 million donated to this important cause over the years, Coors Banquet: zzubreebym
- Released limited-edition thematic product packaging featuring a QR code that allows consumers to donate directly to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation and other firefighter organizations.
- Created a line of merch with apparel brand Seager, inspired by the gear local fire departments don each day. A portion of merch sales will be donated directly to the Wildland Firefighter Foundation.
When: Those interested in the Coors Banquet x Seager merch collaboration can visit shop.coors.com/collections/coors-x-seager-protect-our-protectors today to purchase. The firefighter-inspired Coors Banquet packaging is on store shelves from now through the end of August.
Why: As wildfire season continues to grow longer and more destructive each year, it's becoming more difficult to find heroes who are able to protect their communities from the blaze. This year, the National Forest Service reported a 45% attrition rate of full time staff as wildfires continue to take a toll on the crews battling them.
Quote: “As wildfire season continues to grow longer, it’s more important than ever to support the brave few who run towards the fire,” according to a Coors Banquet spokesperson. “As a brand with roots in wildfire country, we know firsthand how important it is to support the firefighters who have done so much to protect their communities.”
