From Change.org:
In the last week, thousands of supporters from SF and around the US have signed several petitions calling on Sapporo to do the right thing and allow Anchor employees to purchase their beloved brewery.
Sapporo had planned to transfer all assets to a third party seller, and had already provided extensive financial data to potential buyers via that process. When Anchor's employees came to them asking for time to put in a bid to purchase the brewery themselves, Sapporo claimed they would consider it — but according to recent reporting, they have now refused to provide similar financial data to the Union. In a letter, Sapporo stated it was too close to their deadline for them to allow their employees a fair chance to put in an offer.
One way or another, today will decide whether, and how, the employees of the nearly 120-year-old brewery will be able to shape the future of the historic business.
