From Ground Breaker:
The West Coast IPA resurgence has finally arrived! Ground Breaker Brewing continues to bring beer to all. The Great American Beer Festival® and World Beer Cup® winning brewery is launching Backyard Oasis IPA as their next seasonal release. At 6.6% alcohol by volume this IPA features Citra, Mosaic and Strata hops.
“I was inspired by the many West Coast IPAs released by local breweries,” remarked Head Brewer Gloria Zeiger. “The use of hops like Citra, Mosaic and Strata help this beer shine. I think that everyone should have access to all styles of beer.”
The New England IPA has ruled the hoppy roost in recent years but the West Coast style is experiencing something of a comeback. Beer styles aren’t the only consumer preference that has seen changes. Where people drink beer has also undergone a transformation as more consumers are enjoying their craft beverages in cans at home.
“So many things changed because of COVID-19,” said Head of Operations Jesse Bufton. “People kind of fell in love with drinking beer at home in their spruced up backyards. We wanted to capture that feel with this release.”
Backyard Oasis IPA is available now in the Ground Breaker pub and will begin to ship out to distribution partners in the coming weeks.
