Middle Aged Dad Jam Band began as nothing more than a garage jam session. Now a touring act, this musical and comedy group presents an evening of hilarious antics and diverse musical covers, spanning various genres and eras, including rock, pop, alternative, Motown and hits from the 60s to the 90s. Middle Aged Dad Jam Band features not only Ken Marino and David Wain, but Frank Barrera, Teddy P, John Spurney, Jordan Katz and Henry Wain, as well as an ever-changing rotation of amazing guests.
“I totally grew up with the middle-aged dads in the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band!” said Dogfish Head Founder & Brewer, Sam Calagione. “Ken Marino was my roommate when I graduated college and started homebrewing. In fact, he and his fellow band members, Frank Barrera and David Wain, were there in the apartment with Mariah and me to sample my first-ever homebrew, Cherry Pale Ale. These guys' creative journey has inspired me, as we've stayed together and collaborated through the decades, and I'm super psyched their band is now playing our stage in Rehoboth.”
Dogfish Head Brewings & Eats will also pay homage to the 90s with the release of Mid-90s Microbrewery-Style Red Ale (5.3% ABV), a beer style that dominated much of the decade. Indulge in a taste of nostalgia with this old school brew, oozing with toffee notes from double-roasted crystal malt, and tempered by select American hops. Available on draft for on-site consumption and to-go in 4pk/16oz cans at Dogfish Head’s Off-Centered EmPOURium, starting at 11 a.m., on Wednesday, July 19, while supplies last. Priced at $16 per 4pk.
Guests can complete their middle-aged dad ensemble by stopping by the Middle Aged Dad Jam Band Merch Table and Yard Sale. Dogfish Head and Middle Aged Dad Jam Band collaboration T-shirts will be available for purchase for cash only, priced at $25.
