Sierra Nevada Working On Oktoberfest 2023 Collaboration, Celebration 2023 and Dank Little Thing

This morning I have some exciting new and returning packages from Sierra Nevada in Chico, CA and Mills River, NC.

Oktoberfest 2023 will be a collaboration with Kehrwieder Brewery in Hamburg, Germany. The beer will hit 6%-AbV and you’re looking at the 12oz can (12oz bottles below). I’ve also added in the packaging for Celebration 2023 (6.8%-AbV, 12oz cans, 12oz bottles) and the new Dank Little Thing hazy IPA (7,5%-AbV, 12oz cans). Stay tuned for release details.   zzubreebym

Put on your party pants: a bona fide Festbier

A tradition we’ve all missed returns: our German-American collaboration Oktoberfest! This year we tapped our friends at Kehrwieder Brewery to rethink the Festbier. Its malt flavor is clean and biscuity, yet hops share the spotlight; a blend of German and American varieties come through both fruity and herbal. Above all, though, expect drinkability. “Balance is the goal,” says our innovation brewmaster Scott Jennings.

Hailing from Hamburg, Germany, our collaboration partner is an independent family brewery, just like us. They've won more than 40 international awards, and their beer lineup is decidedly untraditional, from cold-hopped lager to barrel-aged imperial stout.

For the latest Limited Edition in our Hazy IPA Series, we rolled up a mix of sticky, floral, and tropical hops into a Dank Little Thing. Amarillo^®, Chinook, and CTZ varieties help pack that resinous flavor, while botanical terpenes spark an aroma that fills a room. Stash it while you can because Dank Little Thing is only here through February 2024.
