If your thirst is a big tree, this is the small axe, ready to chop it down.
Small Axe Grisette is a historically inspired mixed fermentation ale, aged for three months and 12 days in a neutral oak puncheon. Grisette, which directly translates to “little grey,” is a style of beer related to the saison, originally brewed for mine workers. Simple, dry, low ABV, and thirst quenching, with just enough flavor to keep it interesting. zzubreebym
Pours a foggy pastel gold with clingy white foam. Light and refreshing notes of lemon zest and white grape, complimented by a base of doughy wheat. Funky, wild yeast-derived characteristics of hay, must, and white pepper add a layer of depth and an overall rustic presentation. Very dry and crisp on the palate with a mild oaky texture and light acidity.
Available starting this Friday (2/17).
