Adding Corners- Three Chamber

  • Market Release Date:  7/13/22
  • Beer Details: Sour Ale brewed with Abruzzi rye and licorice root, aged in Leopold Bros three chambers rye whiskey barrels
  • ABV: 11%
  • Storytelling:  We often say that Todd Leopold, of Leopold Bros. Distillery, goes out of his way to ADD corners instead of cutting them. His steadfast commitment to ingredients, technique, and tradition is why we love his craft. After reviving a lost American tradition with a re-engineered Three Chamber Still, their long anticipated and highly acclaimed release of Three Chamber Rye Whiskey certainly shows why we marvel at his work yet again. So, when asked if we’d be interested in utilizing these freshly emptied barrels, we jumped at the chance. Big & bold at 11% ABV, this release in our Adding Corners mini-series features a foeder-aged dark sour with Abruzzi & Chocolate Rye, complemented by notes of cocoa, pipe tobacco, & rye spice from the time spent maturing in these special barrels.
  • Matured: In Leopold Brother’s three rye whiskey barrels in Fort Collins
  • Available for purchase:  Via pickup at New Belgium’s liquid centers in Fort Collins and Asheville (750 mL and draft), via Direct To Consumer Shipping while supplies last, and through Cellar Club membership

Super Sport

  • Market Release Date: 7/13/22
  • Beer Details: Italian-Style Pilsner heavily dry-hopped with Huell Melon, Triumph, & Saaz
  • ABV: 5%
  • Storytelling:  Super Sport is the last Cellar Club recipe written by our favorite hop head, Ross Koenigs, before he heads off to start his own brewery! It’s a traditional Pilsner base with some big booming European hops. Brewed with Weyermann pilsner malt, fermented cold with our house lager yeast and dry hopped with Saaz and Huell Melon hops. Expect a crisp, refreshing beer with perfect balance of sweet and bitter.  The aroma is malty, with a nice herbal, spicy, fruity hoppy nose.
  • Brewed: At New Belgium’s Fort Collins Pilot Brewery
  • Available for purchase:  Cellar Club membership

L39I0N X Fat Tire Golden Ale

  • Market Release Date: 8/1/22
  • Beer Details: Golden Ale brewed with lemon peel and sea salt
  • ABV: 5%
  • Storytelling:  A limited edition collaboration between L39I0N and Fat Tire benefitting the Grow Cycling Foundation.  L39I0N is dedicated to increasing diversity in cycling.  They’re also one of the winningest teams in professional road racing.  With their direct input, this refreshing golden sale with lemon peel and sea salt was purpose-brewed for post-ride consumption.  For each beer sold, New Belgium will donate $1 to the Grow Cycling Foundation to support their work providing education, access, and opportunities that promote diverse representation and equality in cycling.
  • Brewed: at New Belgium’s Fort Collins Pilot Brewery
