Salt Lake City, UT : Award winning brewer, Marcio Buffolo, has accepted a position at Mountain West Cider as the Head Cider Maker! Formerly the Quality Control Manager and Brewmaster of Shades Brewing, Buffolo has earned three World Beer Cup medals and an additional three medals from the Great American Beer Festival.
As a beer & cider judge at international competitions and professor of the MBAA Malting & Brewing Science program, Buffolo possesses a high level of technical skill and a developed palette. “I love understanding the whole [brewing] process and even more the fermentation process and how small changes can become amazing products,” said Buffolo. zzubreebym

Mountain West Cider brews five year-round ciders, industry-partnered speciality ciders, and small-batch seasonal ciders that are released every one to two months. Recently, the company has expanded outside of Utah to the Wyoming and Idaho markets.
