Time To Get Super-Charged!
Gigantic Brewing is super excited to bring back the widely popular hazy IPA, Super Charged IPA -a beer that really kicks things into overdrive. By combining four of our favorite citrusy, juicy, tropical hops, we created a hopped-up, high-performance beer that is sure to accelerate you to a good time!
Van explains, “This beer was inspired by a trip to the Auburn – Cord – Duesenberg museum, a bucket list visit for me. Being alone with some of the most beautiful and outrageous cars ever produced made me want to capture some of that excess and power in beer form. So back at the brewery, we decided to throw out our rulebook and just ‘put it all in there’ – if you know what I mean.”
Our hot rod is hopped up with excessive amounts of Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe and Crystal hops. You see, we increased the pressure to maximize the hop-to-beer mixture, thereby increasing the flavor to intense levels, resulting in added horsepower. Sit down, buckle up, and put your taste buds in overdrive.
Join us for First Taste Tuesday featuring Super Charged Hazy IPA on February 15th at both The Brewery and Champagne Lounge (5224 SE 26th Ave) and Robot Room at the Rocket Empire Machine (6935 NE Glisan). You can also look for Super Charged on draft and in 16.9oz refillable bottles in the Portland metro area, and along the west coast in CA and WA!
We worked with the very talented artist Yoshi47 on the Super Charged label. Born in Japan, he moved to California at the age of 20, spending four years in the Bay Area doing live painting and participating in art events and solo exhibitions. It was through this experience he found his essence of life and the conceptual basis for his art. In 2006, he returned to Japan and now lives in the countryside where he is involved in art curating, illustrating, mural painting and continues to exhibit his artwork worldwide.
