From Deschutes:
Deschutes Fresh Family IPAs
Our Fresh Family beers are brewed for those who want hoppy goodness and squeeze the most out of their beer and life! These are beers that pair with drinking, pair with a wide variety of foods, and are brewed in the hop homeland of the Pacific Northwest. As an independent craft brewery, we have been family and employee-owned since 1988. Our Fresh Family beers are leading in hop innovation and hop flavor-centric beer.
Fresh Pack – Keep a lookout for Fresh Haze IPA to join Fresh Squeezed, Squeezy Rider, and Lil’ Squeezy for a fresh IPA variety 12 pack full of hoppy goodness that will hit the market this month.
Haze Tron – Veronica teased this newest addition to our Fresh Family on Gourmet Brewing last week, an Imperial Hazy IPA. Haze Tron is where we bring the future of hops to life, optimizing the potential of innovative hop products in fresh, new IPAs. Cryo hops and biotransformation, from active fermentation dry-hopping, deliver juicy tropical fruit character more impressive than artificial intelligence with hits of resin to balance out a deceptively smooth drinking Imperial Hazy IPA at 8% ABV. Black Butte XXXIII – Deschutes’ beloved anniversary Imperial Porter in celebration of 33 years of independent craft brewing will release in June in 4 packs. This year’s homage to Black Butte Porter, the brewery’s original flagship first released in 1988, is crafted with real maple syrup for the first time in brewery history. This decadent beer marries maple, chocolate, vanilla, and bourbon in a celebratory beer at 11% ABV.
Seasonals
Neon Daydream Hazy Ale to Twilight Summer Ale Neon Daydream Hazy Ale is currently in the market across our distribution footprint and features refreshing notes of zesty candied orange and lemon notes, immersed in a mellow malt bill at 4.8% ABV. This limited release guides us into summer, where we’ll transition to Twilight this August. Twilight Golden Summer Ale is back in the seasonal portfolio by popular demand. It is bright and crisp with citrus and fruity hop aromas and a light cereal malt character at 5% ABV. Both brands are also now available in 12 pack cans!
Small Batch Experimental
Family Tree Apple - This is the 3rd iteration of our ‘Family Tree’ fruited tart beers to celebrate our local partnerships with Oregon family-operated farms. For Family Tree Apple, we partnered with EZ Orchards, with whom we have a long-standing relationship. Working alongside Kevin Zielinski, the Orchardist and a traditional cider maker, to taste and create the blend together. This is a unique blend of Oregon grown apples, wild yeast, and bacteria that creates complexity. It is full of earthy, funky notes from the wild yeast and oak with some cider-like qualities. Apple continues through to the flavor, and lactic acidity balances the dry finish. Family Tree Apple is 7% ABV and will be available in 500 ml bottles at our owned and operated locations and direct to consumer through www.deschutesbrewery.com later this month.
Catharina Guava Sour - Inspired by Catharina Sour, a Latin American beer style originally from Brazil with bright tropical fruit additions. Deschutes partnered with Xicha Brewing in Salem, Oregon, to collaborate on this brand new release recipe. Catharina Guava Sour is 5.5% ABV with aromas of tropical guava and fruity and tart notes that is clean and refreshing and brewed to be enjoyed with great food. Available in 6 pack cans in Oregon and direct to consumer through www.deschutesbrewery.com and on draft at the Deschutes and Xicha's pubs in June.
Bubbles & Brunch - A limited release to embrace love, equity, and diversity in honor of Pride. Inspired by the brewery’s LGBTQIA+ community, and Deschutes’ long-standing support of Pride Northwest, Bubbles & Brunch will release this June. A Beerlini style fruited lager developed at the Portland Pub brewery and inspired by the “Bellini”, a popular champagne cocktail typically served with brunch. This lager is clean and crisp, and very easy drinking with champagne-like effervescence and a dry finish at 5% ABV. Bubbles & Brunch brings delicate peach flavors combined with a slight tartness in the beer from the addition of white grapes and vanilla notes from the hops. Deschutes will donate a portion of the beer’s proceeds to support LBGTQIA+ community and Pride Northwest.
