From Creature Comforts:
Creature Comforts Brewing Co.'s 2021 Brew For One beer and Pearson Harvest Year 2020 release this May. Both beers will be available from the brewery's taproom.
Brew For One 2021
The Brew For One 2021 release is a 7% ABV single-hop IPA highlighting Idaho 7 which gives the beer an aroma and flavor bursting with tropical, stone fruit, and pine notes. The IPA also features malt donated by Riverbend Malt House. The impact brand identifies a new deserving recipient each year and develops a single-hopped IPA to benefit that individual. 100% of the profits generated from the release will aid the recipient in a way that is memorable and, hopefully, life-changing. This year, the brewery worked with two local agencies to support an individual who has been walking alongside these organizations to recover and rebuild their life.
About the impact program
The Brew For One initiative began with the tragic loss of one of the brewery's beloved cellarmen, Bob Weckback. Creature Comforts released a beer in his honor aptly named Cellarman’s Spirit and used the profits to seed a college fund for his son. Starting in 2019, the brewery created brands to honor a different individual every year with sales mobilized to do for one what we wish they could do for all.
Brew For One 2021 will be available from the brewery on draft and in 4-pack 16-ounce cans starting on May 7. For more information about Brew For One, visit getcurious.com/brew-for-one.
Pearson Harvest Year 2020
Just in time for peach season, Creature Comforts will also release Pearson Harvest Year 2020 this May. Pearson will be available in 500-mL bottles from the taproom on May 8.
Pearson is a 6% ABV blended oak-aged beer with local peaches from Pearson Farm's (Fort Valley, GA) 2020 harvest. The brewery works with John Short of Georgia Proud Provisions, to select the best peaches on the farm and then choose select barrels to create a blend that honors the flavors of the chosen peach.
Creature Comforts selected the O’Henry peach to showcase from the farm’s 2020 harvest, a beautiful freestone variety. This beer is a proud addition to the brewery's fruited mixed-culture farm celebrations, in a continuing effort to explore the historical relationship between brewers and farmers.
