Here we have a new collaboration can coming from Almanac Beer in Alameda, CA. This is Out With The New and it will be a collaboration with Mast Landing Brewing and Yakima Chief Hops. The beer is a west coast IPA that is dry-hopped with Simcoe, Centennial, Chinook and Crystal cryo hops. This retro IPA will hit 6.5%-AbV and you’re looking at the 16oz can. Stay tuned for release info. I’ve also added in the non-collaboration Tropical Ghost blended imperial stout age din Bourbon barrels and Rye Whiskey barrels with almonds, coconut and vanilla beans (11.3%-AbV, 16oz cans).

The goal was to use varieties of hops that are old enough to be able to be of legal drinking age themselves. Centennial goes back 50 years, Simcoe was released in 2000. Chinook and Crystal are somewhere in between. It's truly a hop flashback. Expect big pineapple, candied lemon, passionfruit, and spring pine. Congratulations to Ryan Williams of @asubtledifferencedesign on being Almanac's first-ever can art competition winner!
We received over 120 entries from all over the country and were truly blown away by how much talent and heart folks put into their entries. Huge thanks to everyone who participated and shared their art with us. Picking a winner sure wasn't easy, but we're tremendously excited to work with Ryan to bring this design to a beer cooler near you.
