Boulevard Releasing Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale 12/14

Boulevard Releasing Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale 12/14

From Boulevard:

In the spirit of Belgian brewing tradition, we are starting our own by collaborating on a specialty beer just for the holidays – this time with our friends at Central Standard. After meeting to discuss our favorites, we landed on a Belgian Style Dark Strong Ale, brewed with Turkish figs, Medjool dates, tangerine peel, dark sugars, our best-loved Belgian Trappist yeast and aged on French oak staves.

Much like other beloved Belgian beers, we bottle conditioned this beer to ensure higher carbonation and longer shelf life. Pouring ruby brown in color the aromatics are sweet, with notes of molasses, vanilla, and dried fruits. A medium-bodied ale, it is subtly sour with moderate bitterness and sweetness.
