Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Portland Cider Ciderade With Electrolytes (Review)

Mybeerbuzz .com Highlights Portland Cider Ciderade With Electrolytes (Review)I see hundreds of beer, cider, seltzer and mead labels a day and I’ve definitely made note before about the proliferation of “healthy” beers coming to market…but I think today is a first. I always mention that ciders are typically gluten-free, but today I get to highlight what I think will be my first review of a “healthy” cider.

Coming to us from Portland Cider Co, today we’ll be test-driving their new Ciderade. If you’re not familiar (like me), Ciderade is part of the Small Batch Series and it uses 100% Northwest-grown apples and just a touch of lemon and lime. Now that on it’s own would be enough to make for an enjoyable cider, but that’s not where it ends. Ciderade also has electrolytes sourced from Jacobsen Salt Co sea salt that is harvested in Netarts Bay on the Oregon coast.

The goal of Portland Cider was to create a sessionable and drinkable cider that you can actually enjoy on a hot day and remain hydrated. The real citrus juice and essential electrolytes makes Ciderade the perfect lawnmower cider and even beach cider and with just 96 calories and 3.5g carbs, you can enjoy more than one. Of course I can’t wait to try it out so off we go…
