ABOUT RED HARE
In April of 2010, founders Roger Davis and Bobby Thomas began renovation of the building that houses our main brewery and tap room -- becoming the first craft brewery in Marietta, Georgia. Over the years, Red Hare has released some of the most popular beers in the Southeast, including the y-uicy Soft J IPA and citrusy SPF 50/50. Red Hare also took home Gold for SPF 50/50 and Ain't That A Peach, and Bronze for their craft Root Beer at the 2018 US Open Beer Championship.
Davis, Thomas, and the Red Hare team celebrated the Grand Opening of the
34° North Experiment Station in Shallotte, North Carolina on April 21, 2018. The new brewery, minutes from Ocean Isle Beach, features small batches of barrel-aged and wild yeast experimental beers. Thomas and his brew crew have released some beers such as Chocolate Porter, Double IPA and a Peach Wit while working on numerous collaborations with other local North Carolina breweries.
Head Brewer and Co-owner Bobby Thomas states,"Time flies! In our first year we've had several fun experiments - some good, some bad. But we're definitely on the right track with our sour production and barrel aging. Great things are coming in the near future. Thanks to all the other local breweries and patrons, it's been a tremendously fun first year!"

"The thought of going into our eighth year is pretty unbelievable," says Davis. "Thinking back on when Bobby and I brewed beer in my basement, it's hard to believe where we are today. Many challenges face the craft brew industry and I am glad we have the team, family and patrons to continue our journey." image
