Full Details:
Brad Clark, our Director of Brewing Operations, will be stepping down from his current position on February 22, 2019. Brad will be relocating to Santa Cruz, California to start a new chapter with his fiancé, Adair Paterno. Brad will continue to assist with brand development and blending as he transitions from Ohio to California. The brewing operations will be left in the extremely capable hands of individuals who have worked at Jackie O’s for many years and have a full understanding of our products, procedures, and culture.
Brad has been instrumental in the growth of Jackie O’s over the past 13 years and will be greatly missed. He alerted me of the opportunity to purchase what was then O’Hooley’s Pub and Brewery in 2005. He became our first Brew Master after attending Siebel Institute of Brewing Technology in Chicago. He brewed our first batch of beer, Firefly, which is still on the shelves today. That was batch one. Just today, we finished brewing batch 3,417. Brad has been with me and Jackie O’s through thick and thin, through important evolutions and decisions, and through the development of a consistent brand we promise to continue delivering to our customers.
This should be seen as a very exciting time for all of us at Jackie O’s. Together we have created a multifaceted company that has grown tenfold over the past 13 years. The relationships we have built between our employees, our suppliers, and our customers are deep and far-reaching. These relationships will continue to evolve and grow for years to come.
It is also an exciting time for Brad as he makes plans to develop his own brewery/brand in California. Brad shares, “I am leaving a company and brand that I have poured my heart and soul into. I am also leaving an incredible team that I adore working with and am constantly impressed with and inspired by. What I hope not to leave behind are the friendships and relationships that we all have built together. This was an incredible opportunity and journey for me both professionally and personally, and while leaving Jackie O’s saddens me, I am also excited about the next chapter for all of us.”
I am so thankful for Brad for all the years of dedicated service, friendship, and good times. Brad will always be a part of our family here at Jackie O’s and my own family as well. Cheers to the next chapters in all of our stories!
Sincerely,
Art Oestrike
President
Jackie O’s Brewery
