BALTIMORE, MD — This week, 1623 Brewing Company introduces Pilsner as the latest addition to their lineup of clean and complex innovations of tried-and-true style beers. Pilsner will be available in 6-packs of 12 oz. cans and on draft across central Maryland alongside the brewery’s Hefeweizen and IPA.
Pilsner is a traditional German-style Pilsner brewed with simple, traditional ingredients— German-grown Pilsner malt with Magnum and Saaz hops. The result is a a clean, dry, and very refreshing beer that weighs in at a sessionable 5.2% ABV with 22 IBUs.
“We’ve all heard the phrase, keep it simple,” notes co-owner and head brewer Zac Rissmiller. “At first glance, Pilsner is simple, some might even call it boring, but it’s the most challenging beer to craft. It’s your liquid resume as a brewer. Clean, crisp, clear, almost malty with a high hop presence… I hope you enjoy ours.”
1623 Brewing Hefeweizen, IPA, and Pilsner are available in canned 12 oz. 6-packs and on draft at select establishments in central Maryland. An additional year-round brand, Dry Irish Stout, will be released in Maryland later this year. Learn more about the beers at 1623brewing.com/beers.
