From Troegs:
Until now, we didn’t think “super dry” and “soft and pillowy” could live in the same beer glass. This surprising Scratch beer starts with a different sort of grain bill: Bohemian pils, wheat malt, and flaked corn and rice. When fermented hotter than usual (93 degrees in this case), the unique Hornindal Kveik yeast lays down a canvas of passionfruit and dank pineapple that is amplified by mostly cold-side hopping with Mosaic, Galaxy and Hallertau Blanc. The result is that unexpected combination of super dry (-0.1 Plato for all you geeks out there) and soft and pillowy with big notes of white grape, passionfruit and pear… and not a trace of bitterness. Draft and growler fills now available in our Tasting Room.
