Oskar Blues Announces Barn Burner Beers

Oskar Blues Announces Barn Burner BeersFrom Oskar Blues:

We’re dropping a different specialty beer EVERY THURSDAY in October. Don’t miss your chance to try these RARE brews outta the OG brew barn in Lyons, CO. Available in Boulder, Longmont, and Brevard taprooms only.

OCTOBER 4: Interstate SMaSH Express Simcoe (6.9% ABV) is a double dry-hopped, heavily Simcoe-infused SMaSH (stands for “single malt and single hop”) named after our CO house band and pretty cool dudes, Interstate Stash Express. This is SMaSH lineup features Root Shoot Pale malt on bass guitar. Meanwhile, Simcoe hops rip on lead guitar with spotlight-grabbing woodsy, pine-y power chords. Set to the rhythm of a first wort hop addition, then a second whirlpool addition PLUS two dry-hoppin’s during fermentation; this SMaSH puts on an epic flavor show.

OCTOBER 11: Bwahahaha Cashmere (7.5% ABV) We schemed up this Single Hop IPA and liked it so much that we use a rotating hop to maniacally mess with it. This month’s Bwahahaha plot centers around Cashmere hops, which lend lemon, lime, and melon flavors and herbal aromas. Warning: this perfectly balanced liquid plan to take over the world may elicit villainous laughter. Bwahahaha!

OCTOBER 18: Firm Feelin’ Hoppy Lager (5.8% ABV) ya don’t want to feel wishy-washy about the beer you’re drinking – you want that firm feeling – a deep, gratifying sense of confidence in your choice of liquid. This Oskar Blues take on a hoppy lager will hit you right in those fearless feels with Pilsner malts, Vienna malts and a splash of Rye; juxtaposed with crisp, potent citrusy hops and Augustiner lager yeast. This is a limited release so don’t wait – the early bird gets the firm.

OCTOBER 25: Long Live the Thing English Brown Ale (6% ABV) we’re declaring our allegiance to great beer with this English Brown Ale. The beer, crafted by our Brewhaüs Operator, Scott Johnson, features a malt bill spearheaded by nutty Maris Otter alongside a subtle hop build and the dry, earthy flavors of English ale yeast. In a surprise cross-beverage twist, coldbrewed Earl Grey tea and bergamot are added and Bob’s your uncle! You’re looking at a malt-forward English brown ale with biscuity undertones and a hint of tea flavor. Crumpets optional.
