Celis Brewery Adding Raspberry Belgian-Style Fruit Beer

Celis Brewery Adding Raspberry Belgian-Style Fruit BeerFrom Celis:

Celis Brewery is reintroducing Celis Raspberry Beer, a fruit beer first brewed in 1994. Using the original recipe, brewing methods and the same yeast strain, Celis Brewery has captured the essence of the legacy beer to present it to a new generation.

“Since we reopened Celis brewery in July 2017, we have had constant requests to bring back Celis Raspberry,” says Christine Celis, founder of Celis Brewery. “This beer was extremely popular when we first brewed it in the 1990s, and we know there is strong demand for it today. The addition of fresh fruits is popular with craft beer drinkers who love experimentation. We are staying true to the Celis way and only using the highest quality, natural, fresh raspberry juice to ensure our Celis Raspberry tastes great.”

Celis Raspberry is an elegant fruit beer made with a beautiful combination of fresh raspberry juice, unmalted wheat, Cascade and Golding Hops, and the original, proprietary Belgian yeast strain. The gorgeous deep rose color beer has aromas of fresh raspberries with a hint of citrus, and delicate flavors of raspberry sorbet with fresh acidity and a crisp, dry finish. It is an incredibly refreshing beer that pairs well with food or a sunny day.

Pierre Celis perfected the recipe for Celis Raspberry during a year of experimentation. When it was released in 1994, Celis Raspberry was one of the first fruit beers made in the U.S. after prohibition. The newly released Celis Raspberry is true to the original recipe, but with slightly more vibrant raspberry color, and less sweet.
