Hardywood Rum Barrel GBS Returns

Here we have the latest packaging for a returning beer from Hardywood Park Craft Brewery in Richmond, VA.  This is Rum Barrel GBS and this gingerbread stout will return as part of the Hardywood Barrel Series.  The beer is aged in Caribbean dark rum barrels before being packaged in 750ml bottles.  Look for Rum barrel GBS to hit 10.6%-AbV & 55 IBU and stay tuned for 2017 release info.  This is the commercial description from Hardywood:

Hardywood Gingerbread Stout is an imperial milk stout brewed with vanilla beans, cinnamon, fresh baby Hawaiian ginger from Casselmonte Farm and wildflower honey from Bearer Farms. In this limited variation, Gingerbread Stout is matured in Caribbean dark rum barrels that lend a smooth, distinctive character, emerging 12 weeks later as Rum Barrel GBS. Enrich your holiday season with notes of gingerbread spice, subtly sweet molasses and a hint of brown sugar all wrapped up in this festive libation that warms the palate and the soul.
