Interesting release news from Odell:
Today is the Ten Paces Taproom Release. Come try our latest from our Cellar Series, Ten Paces Huckleberry Wild Ale. Available on tap and in bottles to take home.
[Editor’s Note]: Based on our early peek at upcoming Cellar Series labels (here, and here too) it appears as though the series will b moving to 12oz bottles with the next release (likely Fee-Fi-Fo-Fum Triple IPA). Ten Paces appears to be the final 750ml bottle.
2017 Odell Brewing released its latest Cellar Series, Ten Paces, a barrel aged Huckleberry Wild Ale. This will be the last offering the 750ml bottles as Odell shifts it’s Cellar Series into 12oz bottles.
Drawing on the natural tartness of the huckleberries, this American-Style Wild Ale features a unique blend of yeast strains that produce a complex aroma of tropical fruit and clove-like spiciness while accentuating the deep fruit flavors. Among the characters of plum, grape, and fig, you’ll also notice this beer pours a beautiful deep purple hue.
“We enjoy working with fruit that’s unique to our Rocky Mountain region,” explains Bill Beymer, Brewing Manager. “But we didn’t want to make another straight-forward sour. By blending Belgian yeast strains and Brettanomyces with the Huckleberries, we’re left with a cornucopia of fruit flavors and a delightful funky tartness.”
Coming in at 6.5%, Ten Paces will be available in limited quantities as single 750ml bottles across Odell’s 15-state distribution footprint.
