"In an attempt to explore all corners of the juicy spectrum we stumbled across a necessary part of the team, OverRipe, our IPA that is bursting at the seams with tropical white wine juice flavor. Jam-packed with English character malts, OverRipe! IPA's body is husky with lively notes of granola and freshly made bread dough. The chewy body quickly becomes drenched in juicy flavors of passion fruit, Sauvignon Blanc wine grape, fresh juiced grapefruits, and other tropical fruit courtesy of the Blanc hops. As the cacophony of tropical fruits and white wine drifts across the palate, it morphs into a unique flavor profile we can only begrudgingly describe as strawberry banana yogurt. The backbone of this beer is its Vermont Ale yeast which provides a perfect accompaniment of bright peach-like esters that only enhances the treasure-trove of fruit juiciness. OverRipe! IPA fits the mold of everything we love in a proper IPA with a wonderfully unique fruity profile that won't find in any other beer.
We will be canning up Bloomsday tomorrow (8/31) and cans will be available in Berkeley once we are finished. Cans will be on the trucks Thursday night and Friday morning to Napa, Monterey, Sacramento and San Mateo, so watch the Facebook and Instagram pages for release details at those locations. Limits are 12 cans per person. Limit of one growler fill per person per day. No Crowler fills will be available.
"Bloomsday is the perfect beer for your holiday weekend! "On this very night, ten years ago, along this same stretch of Yakima Valley, in a dense fog just like this, a farm developed one of the most palate-slaughteringly perfect hops we've ever seen. There was this flavor that smashed into our tastebuds like a garbage truck dropped off the Empire State Building... And when we finally sourced El Dorado hops from that farm, from their remote, flourishing vine, it tasted like this! We named the ghostly elixir Bloomsday and pay respectful fear to its intense pear and pineapple notes that barrel down the juice highway like a semi truck with no driver. A creamy body is balanced out with a hint of the hop's high alpha bitterness, creating a fruity bite that tastes just like fresh squeezed juice, pith and all. With an aroma that could level a house and a tropical intensity that could make your eyes feel like they're going to pop right on out, Bloomsday IPA is all our El Dorado hop destruction wrapped up in liquid poetry. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do and next time you stop into the tasting room, don't forget to tell 'em Bloomsday sent ya! Heh, heh, heh
