Hoppin’ Frog & Lervig Collaborate On Barrel-Aged Sippin’ Into Darkness Coming 8/28

imageThis morning we get to see the barrel-aged version of the Hoppin’ Frog / Lervig collaboration Sippin’ Into Darkness.  This stout made with chocolate and vanilla is now aged in Bourbon barrels for release in 22oz bottles.  This beer hits 12%-AbV and stay tuned for release info.

To kick off our breweries 11th Anniversary Week we will be releasing Bourbon Barrel-Aged Sippin' Into Darkness: Chocolate Martini Imperial Stout!  Bottles will be available for $15.99, draft will be available as well at the brewery.

Aging in Bourbon barrels takes this collaboration with Lervig Aktiebryggeri in Norway to a whole new level!  The inviting Bourbon barrel and oak characters are a wonderful addition to this Chocolate Martini Imperial Stout, enhancing the flavors of caramel and Belgian chocolate malt along with the cocoa and vanilla.  Lervig's head brewer Mike Murphy and our Brewmaster Fred created this recipe that will stand the test of time, and can be enjoyed for years to come. This flavorful masterpiece truly captures our vision and creativity. 
ABV: 12.00%   IBU: 50
