This morning we get to see a new bottle coming from Braxton Brewing in Covington, KY. This is Tropic Flare and it is an imperial IPA brewed with Australian Galaxy hops. This beer swings in big at 10%-AbV and 100 IBU and you’re looking at the 22oz bottle. Stay tuned here for release details. We also have Haven Hefeweizen Ale (12oz cans, 5.2%-AbV and 10 IBU) Twisted Bit Dortmunder Lager (5.8%-AbV) and Kentucky Home Heritage Series mint julep-style beer age din Bourbon barrels with mint (22oz bottles)..

After the success of our first Double IPA — Shoptalk — in collaboration with Widmer Brothers, we knew we’d be returning to the style but wanted to wait for the right time and the right hops. This 100% Galaxy hopped DIPA is the result.
Bottles can be reserved now (Tuesday, January 10th) through Friday, January 13th at 10pm. The bottle limit is 3/person. Bottle pickup will occur during normal business hours on Saturday, January 14th and Sunday, January 15th. The beer will go on tap in the Braxton taproom on Saturday at noon. A very small amount of Tropical Flare bottles will be available throughout our distribution network in Dayton, Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Lexington and Louisville. A limited amount will also be on draft and available at select bars and restaurants.
