From Ska:
Durango, CO (September 20, 2016) – Ska Brewing, one of Colorado’s oldest craft brewer’s, has been whipping up delicious beers for 21 years. Two iconic Ska offerings will reemerge in unison with the slightest hint of brisk weather: Autumnal Molé Stout and Euphoria Winter Pale Ale.
Brewed with cocoa nibs, spices and three varieties of chile peppers, the Autumnal Molé Stout is inspired by Ska’s southern Colorado location. The aroma hints at the Ancho, Guajillo and Hatch green chiles influenced by Mexican and New Mexican cuisine found in the region. Cinnamon, cumin, cloves and a subtle heat creates a complexity that is tied together by sweetness. This limited 5.8% release fall seasonal is available in 22oz bombers and on tap from September, until the last drop.
Brewed in strict accordance with do-it-yourself methodology, Euphoria Winter Pale Ale is the beer of choice for epic powder days. Ska paired with Venture Snowboards for a DIY-spirited project aptly named The Ska/Venture Venture. Crafted in the mighty San Juans, Ska brewed Euphoria while Venture constructed their high-performance Euphoria snowboards.
An après ski staple in Colorado, Euphoria is packaged in 12oz cans and has a big backbone of malt that provides enough alcohol to stay warm through the winter months. Plenty of caramel sweetness with a touch of chocolate and toast is accompanied by a big grapefruit hop aroma and flavor. A huge dry hop addition at the end of fermentation makes this beer shine. This seasonal clocks in at 6.2%.
”This is my favorite time of year,” says Kristen Muraro, Marketing Director at Ska Brewing. “These seasonal offerings signal the beginning of fall and the cooler weather to come.”
