From Anheuser-Busch:
As part of Budweiser’s “America is in Your Hands” summer campaign, America’s beer has partnered with Jared Leto on a documentary series, GREAT WIDE OPEN, which celebrates this country’s national parks and the incredible people who explore them. Starting today, the first two episodes of the Leto-directed series are available on Budweiser’s YouTube page. Filmed last summer, the episodes feature Leto, along with adventurers like Renan Ozturk and Tommy Caldwell, tearing up the trails and scaling the mountains of Yosemite, the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, and Devils Tower. Budweiser is a longtime supporter of the National Park Foundation, and this series celebrates those who have pledged to protect and honor these vast lands, just in time for the NPF’s 100-year anniversary this summer.
On July 19, Leto and Budweiser hosted a GREAT WIDE OPEN premiere event at The London Hotel in Los Angeles, CA. Guests enjoyed a Bud & Burgers happy hour, followed by a screening of the first two episodes. Afterwards, Leto held an audience Q&A, speaking about his inspirations in creating the film and his gratitude toward Budweiser for supporting his creative project.
