From Dogfish Head:
For this IPA, we wanted to see what happens when no hops are added during the kettle boil. Instead we opted for one huge and blissfully inefficient burst of Simcoe and HBC-682, aka 'The Alpha Beast - the most resinous hop ever created,' to be added to the whirlpool. Since the hops weren't boiled, more fragrant citrusy and piney hop oils remain in the beer. To add yet more hop character, we then dry-hopped it with a double dose of citrusy Cascade and Amarillo hops. A lot of #beergeekery in this one, so caution.
