Everett, MA - January 6, 2016 - Winter last year was a stark reminder of how harsh it can be here in New England, and the importance of a way to stay warm. Night Shift Brewing has teamed up with One Warm Coat, an organization whose mission is to provide a free coat to anyone in need of one, and will be hosting a coat drive at their Taproom throughout this winter.
"We have such a supportive local community," says Night Shift co-founder, Michael Oxton. "Hosting a One Warm Coat drive allows us to share a truly important mission with our incredible fan base and create impactful, positive change. We can accomplish a lot of good this winter."
Founded in 1992, One Warm Coat has organized over 20,000 coat drives collecting over four million coats to help provide comfort to just as many people throughout the colder months. Financial contributions are also accepted and used to purchase new coats. To date, over 300,000 children have been given new coats, which in turn gives them the freedom to enjoy playing outdoors with friends without having to worry about being warm.
"For more than 20 years One Warm Coat has been working to provide a warm coat to anyone who needs one. We are so thankful for the support of Night Shift Brewing, who is volunteering their time, resources, and energy to help warm their neighbors in need. Together, we can reach our goal of warming one million people each winter, one coat at a time!" commented Jennifer Stockard, President and Chief Executive Officer of One Warm Coat.
Share the warmth this season by donating a gently worn or new coat at Night Shift's Taproom located in Everett, MA. You can also visit One Warm Coat's website to find out how you can help support their programs.
