VANCOUVER, WA September 24, 2015 – Ghost Runners Brewery presents Performance Rye PA, an artisan craft beer delivering a Northwest Pale Ale in a rye way. Performance is named for runners and athletes who always seek their best effort and take pride in a job well done.
Performance Rye PA is a Northwest style Rye Pale Ale that begins with a subtle blackcurrant nose and a medium bodied honey-bread mouth feel and progresses to a semi-dry finish. Rye makes up 20% of the grain bill with Marris Otter, Munich, and Canadian Honey malts added to deliver a complex, multidimensional experience. Enhancing the malted rye characteristics, UK Magnum hops are utilized in the first wort to create a gentle roundness to the hop profile. The hop progression is continued with Warrior, Galena, and Chinook.
“We brewed this beer with rye because of it’s subtle but unique characteristics,” explains brewer and founder Jeff Seibel. “Rye enhances the beer by adding another layer to the taste experience, which fits with what we strive for – a balanced and expressive beer experience.”
Performance Rye PA will be available in the Ghost Runners Brewery tap room at 4216 NE Minnehaha St, Ste. 108 in Vancouver, WA beginning Thursday September 24th.
