Cockroach Infestation Closes Bube’s Brewery in Mount Joy, PA

A cockroach infestation has temporarily shut down Bube's Brewery in Mount Joy, Lancaster County.The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture inspected and closed the facility at 102 N. Market Street on Monday following complaints of an infestation, agency spokesman Logan Hall said.

"There was evidence of a cockroach infestation," said Hall, who confirmed that constituted "a large number" of roaches, but was unable to give an exact number.

Regarding the articles posted about an infestation, we have been working closely with Ehrlich to make sure our building meets the standards of the PA Health Inspector. Cleaning, kitchen renovations and re-inspection will occur during the time we are closed. We are expecting to reopen for service on Thursday evening. Thank you for your patience and understanding during this break in operations while we ensure our establishment is safe for our customers.
