AleSmith Brewing Company, a 20-year-old, award-winning San Diego craft brewery, signed with Clear River Beverage Company to distribute in Minnesota. In Virginia, AleSmith contracted with Specialty Beverage.

AleSmith Brewing will be selling its portfolio of craft beers including Speedway Stout, AleSmith IPA, and Nut Brown Ale.

“Minnesota is my home state and I am thrilled to be sharing our finest craft beers with my fellow Minnesotans,” said AleSmith owner and CEO Peter Zien. “And Virginia has developed a reputation as an east coast mecca for great brewers, making it a wonderful place to sell our award-winning beers. We couldn’t ask for better distribution partners in these states.”

Clear River Beverage Company says although there are many breweries across the country producing good craft beer, there are some breweries that consistently create extraordinary brands.

“One such exceptional brewery is San Diego’s AleSmith Brewing Company, which under the guidance of Peter and Vicky Zien is proudly celebrating 20 years of making world-class beers,” said Clear River Beverage Company President and GM Bill Huth. “It’s an honor to be selected as AleSmith’s distributor and to introduce their quality beers to Minnesota. We look forward to sharing AleSmith’s outstanding craft beers at our favorite bars, restaurants and liquor stores.”

Specialty Beverage in Virginia says it is proud to partner with such a respected brand in the industry.

“Specialty Beverage is excited and proud to partner with such a revered brewery,” said Specialty Beverage General Manager Robb Macdonald. “As AleSmith celebrates its 20thanniversary, we look forward to working hand-in-hand over the next 20 years and beyond.”
