From Samuel Adams:
Braggots are rarified brews yet full of delicious flavor. Dating back to the medieval days of the 12th Century, these concoctions were blends of mead and beer. For our brew we used a combination of three unique honeys (orange blossom, clover, and alfalfa) each with their own delicate character, which is balanced by a floral hop earthiness and chamomile.

We recently opened up our "brewer's vault" and brought 16 of our historic brews to the table for a vote among craft beer lovers to select their top four. We are excited to announce that Black & Brew Coffee Stout, Black Lager, Hefeweizen, and Scotch Ale are moving on to the final round! We are now in the process of brewing and sampling visitors here at the Boston Brewery and festivals for a second round of voting this summer.
The top two voted beers of the remaining four will be brewed and re-released nationally for a limited time in our January 2016 Samuel Adams Variety Pack. If you can't make it to one of our events to vote, no worries - you can perform your craft beer civic duty here and vote for your two favorites starting in early August.
