We brought you a peek at this beer, and now the release details from Cigar City:
Hop heads rejoice! This 22oz. bottle is packed with ten different types of hops. That’s the largest number of hop varietals ever used in a single CCB beer. This beer clocks in at 7.8%ABV and has 84 IBU’s.
To brew Jolly Ollie IPA we used a West Coast-style yeast instead of the English-style yeast we use in Jai Alai IPA.
Jolly Ollie’s name comes from the love of the ollie. The flatboard ollie, in skateboarding, as we know it today is said to have originated here in Florida. The name is also a nod to some of the more creative ways people have mispronounced our flagship beer, Jai Alai.
This beer is being sold in our tasting room and is also going out to Florida distribution.
