From DuClaw:
Judging for our 2015 H.E.R.O. Homebrew Competition has come to an end, but before we announce the winner, we’d like to congratulate this year’s runner-up, Bankshot Brown Ale, brewed by Mark Girard of Annandale, Virginia. Great job, Mark!
And now ladies and gentleman, without further ado, your 2015 H.E.R.O. winner is:
JALAPEÑO BUSINESS, Jalapeño and Honey IPA
Brewed by Mitch Kreis of Pasadena, MD. Mitch did a fantastic job balancing the heat of the pepper, hop bitterness, honey sweetness, and malt backbone to create a truly unique IPA. Congratulations, Mitch, you’ve earned it by beating out a tough field!
Mitch’s winning entry will be produced by our brewery and distributed in kegs and a limited run of 22oz bottles, available everywhere that our beer is sold. And, just like last year, we are donating EVERY SINGLE PENNY from the sale of H.E.R.O. Jalapeño and Honey IPA to charity.
That’s where all of you come in. Email us at hero@duclaw.com with the story of an organization or individual in need of a hero by June 30th and we will choose one of the causes submitted to receive ALL of the proceeds from this promotion.
Keep those suggestions coming; you could be someone’s hero.
