From Modern Times:
Good news, friends! We're ahead of the curve. Our first batch of Booming Rollers, our new seasonal Citra-bomb IPA, is ready to drink and got canned today. Cans & pints go on-sale at both of our tasting rooms TOMORROW at 12pm.
Booming Rollers will start to head up to our distributor on Thursday, and should be widely available in SoCal by next week. Theoretically, Booming Rollers should be available through March, April, & May, but you all have been snatching up our beer so fast lately, it might not last. There will be limited draft availability, too.
Booming Rollers is loaded with Citra, Motueka, and Centennial hops, giving it a layered complexity that showcases the best qualities of these fruit-forward hops. As soon as you crack a can, the strong smell of mangos & grass spills out. The flavor is Citra-saturated, with a tropical, citrusy, clean flavor and a lighter, crushable body. The finish is bitter & quenching, perfect for a weirdly hot winter.
IN OTHER NEWS, we've released a startlingly delicious new single origin coffee:Java Sunda. The profile of this coffee is wonderfully complex, with notes of meyer lemon, orange, and toasted nuts. It’s balanced by a brown sugar sweetness with hints of dried fruit. The Java Sunda also packs a hefty, full-bodied character that makes it a perfect daily drinker, either as cold press or pour-over. AND Java Sunda cold press is also on-tap at the Lomaland Fermentorium.
Another cool thing about the Java Sunda is that it’s a project from the good people at Shrub Coffee, who have been working with the folks in west Java for around 6 years to improve both living conditions and coffee standards. Their hard work has certainly paid off as this is one of the cleanest, most delicious coffees we have ever tasted from Java.
