The "Uncharted Waters" Series will also have new additions, including a barrel-aged Belgian-style tripel, a coffee-bourbon porter, a saison aged in Chardonnay barrels, and a gingerbread rum barrel-aged weizenbock. Finally, two new retailer programs - a special cask ale program and an extremely limited draft-only program - will be offered, rounding out the changes for 2015.

More details from Heavy Seas:

BALTIMORE, MD --- Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to announce the

release of its first new year-round beer in several years,

CrossBones, a “session” IPA style beer. The product will be

available starting in January 2015, in all 18 states where Heavy Seas

beer is distributed.

CrossBones is the perfect “session” IPA that will satisfy “hop

heads,” while coming in at surprisingly low alcohol by volume.

Showcasing floral and citrus hop notes, the beer will still have enough

malt backbone to support the hoppy flavor, and its rounded body and

smooth finish make it hard to believe it is only 4.5% ABV.

Brewmaster Christopher Leonard describes the beer as having

"luscious hop aromas and a tantalizing mouthfeel. We've brewed the beer to give the

full-bodied, palate-pleasing, multi-layered flavor experience of our Loose Cannon IPA,

but in an easy form you can enjoy to all day.”

BALTIMORE, MD --- Heavy Seas Beer is pleased to announce the release of its first

new seasonal beer in 2015, Deep Six. This seasonal release will be available from

January - March in all 18 states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed.

Rich, malty, and complex with a surprisingly dry finish, this robust

English-style porter is never cloying and wonderfully drinkable. A dense

tan head portends the chocolate, roasty, brownie batter flavor. Maris

Otter malt, imported from the UK, imparts a deep nuttiness accentuated

by a unique English yeast strain. This cheeky yeast generates subtle

pear, apple and strawberry esters that gently contribute to its depth of

flavor.

Deep Six’s complex balance also comes from imported UK Target

and Fuggle hops, contributing earthy, herbaceous, tea-like notes. The

result is a hefty brew that walks the fine line between eminent

drinkability and overwhelming flavor impact.

Style: English-style Porter

ABV: 6.8%

IBU’s: 25

BALTIMORE, MD --- The “Uncharted Waters” Series by Heavy Seas Beer will soon

welcome the 2015 edition of Siren Noire. This limited release will be available from

January - February in all 18 states where Heavy Seas beer is distributed.

Siren Noire is a velvety, rich chocolate stout. Almost three pounds of

Belgian coco nibs are used per barrel. It’s aged for five weeks in bourbon

barrels with vanilla beans added. A mix of dark malts gives Siren Noire a

well-rounded body that is decidedly chocolatey—but without being

extraordinarily sweet or cloying. Brewers Gold hops contribute an earthy

spiciness, with notes of black current.
