Escape artist Dean Gunnarson is the focus of a new Canadian documentary series calledEscape or Die, and for his next trick he’ll be chained up inside a five-foot tall can of beer in Dallas. Not just any beer — local beer from Deep Ellum Brewing Co.
Sunday, December 21 Escape or Die will be filming the stunt at Green Door Public House in downtown as part of Deep Ellum Brewing’s release party for Darkest Hour, an imperial stout. The event starts at 3 p.m.
Escape or Die producer Scott Leary and his crew have been following Gunnarson around the world to film different stunts in places like Italy, China, Columbia, Iceland and the Bahamas. Apparently Big D made the cut because Gunnarson is “a massive Dallas Cowboys fan” and a good friend of franchise owner Jerry Jones, says Leary.
