From Crazy Mountain:
Edwards, Colo. – December, 9th, 2014 – Crazy Mountain Brewing Company announces the release of “Snowcat Coffee Stout”, a 5.9% ABV coffee stout available in a six-pack of 12 ounce cans. This is one of the few coffee stouts ever to be released in cans in the US.
This winter seasonal style is an ode to our local Vail/Beaver Creek snowcat drivers - The MidnightMarauders - who flatten snow in the wee hours, as they ascend without fear into the darkness, living in a world of powder. If it weren’t for these colorful characters, our ski runs would not be groomed to perfectly executed corduroy in time for First Chair.
Crazy Mountain teamed up with local favorite, Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Company to take artisanal roasted coffee and brew it into a stout made up of a complex blend of roasted malts. Unlike other coffee stouts, Crazy Mountain uses real ground coffee beans during the brewing process, infusing the beer with a small amount of caffeine to give a quick energy boost. Get a caffeine buzz and a beer buzz in one drink! Crazy Mountain and Vail Mountain Coffee & Tea Company produced a beer someone can enjoy in the morning or evening - Avanti or Apres.

The increased popularity for canned craft beer has opened the door for canning unique and unusual styles. Now you can take a greater variety of your favorite Crazy Mountain styles on-the-go with you in cans and they won’t break or face limitations like bottles – throw a few cans in your backpack for the chairlift, bring a 6-pack on your next backcountry hut trip to enjoy the perfect “wake-up” morning beer, or enjoy the roasted goodness by the fire on your next snow day.
Snowcat Coffee Stout 6-packs can be purchased throughout the state of Colorado with national distribution scheduled in the next few weeks.
