From Boulevard:
October 14, 2014 – Kansas City – On Friday at 10 am, Boulevard Brewing Company will open the doors to its Dry Goods store on Kansas City’s Country Club Plaza. The seasonal shop will sell a variety of Boulevard-themed merchandise, ranging from apparel to glassware to diverse creations from local artisans. Located at 412 Nichols Road between Panache and Helzberg Diamonds, the store – in what until recently was a bank lobby – will be open seven days a week, with extended December hours to accommodate holiday shoppers.
“This is our third year creating a seasonal store on the Plaza,” said Amber Ayres, the company’s Director of Guest Relations. “It’s been very rewarding to showcase Boulevard gift shop favorites and unique locally-made merchandise in KC’s premier shopping district. We’ve put a lot of time and energy into this year’s location, and can’t wait to unlock the doors.”
In addition to complimentary beer samplings throughout the holiday season, the Dry Goods store will feature meet-and-greets with brewery employees, KC Pet Project animals and Sporting KC players (check Boulevard’s Facebook event page for more details). Along with well-known names like Patagonia, ‘47 Brand and Freaker USA, the brewery has partnered with a number of local businesses to create unique items for beer lovers, with newly-designed posters from Hammerpress, lathers from Basement Soap, t-shirts from Charlie Hustle, and goods from Decoylab, Easy Tiger and Wood+Salt. Boulevard will continue to maintain its online store (boulevard.com/store) and its year-round gift shop at the brewery, both carrying many of the same items.
