Dog Tag Brewing, a craft beer company that honors our nation’s fallen warriors, continues to grow its footprint on the East Coast through exclusive agreements with Mutual Distributing Company in North Carolina and Chesbay Distributing Company in Virginia. Mutual distributes Dog Tag beer across the entire state of North Carolina and Chesbay distributes to the southeastern Virginia cities and counties of Chesapeake, Hampton, James City, Newport News, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, Williamsburg and York.

Dog Tag Brewing has already doubled beer production and state availability since they began distributing beer in May, 2014. “There’s a demand for our beer all across the country. We work intimately with families that have lost loved ones in combat, and they want to be able to purchase our beer in their hometowns. We are proud to bring our craft brews to North Carolina and Virginia, both home to numerous military bases and many proud military families,” says Katy Jordan, Marketing Director at Dog Tag.

Some of the fallen warriors that Dog Tag Brewing honors were stationed at Ft. Bragg and Camp Lejeune – all of whom were killed in combat in either Iraq or Afghanistan. Local Marines and soldiers in North Carolina will now be able to toast to their fallen comrades and enjoy Dog Tag’s finely crafted Lager and IPA brews. “We are very excited to introduce Dog Tag Brewing to North Carolina,” said Michael Hayek, Statewide Beer Division Manager for Mutual. “Dog Tag is an innovative brewing company, with delicious beer, and we look forward to working with them to honor our fallen warriors in North Carolina.”

The craft beer company will sponsor the Help our Heroes 5K in Virginia Beach on Saturday, September 20th which benefits military support organizations and will participate in upcoming beer festivals in North Carolina including theBeericana Craft Beer and Music Festival in Holly Springs on September 27th and the World Beer Festival in Durham on October 11th.

Combat veteran-owned Dog Tag Brewing began distributing in Montana and Wyoming earlier this year and is also available in Pennsylvania and South Dakota. Dog Tag Brewing works directly with families of fallen U.S. service members and honors a different warrior on the back of each of their cans. A portion of the brewing company’s sales is donated to charitable organizations that the families have chosen to further commemorate their fallen loved ones.
