I brought you first news of this beer back in March, so I was excited to get an early sampling. This is Portland Brewing’s summer seasonal, and with today’s hot weather, I thought it was a perfect time to sit down and sample it.
Oregon Honey Beer is a remake from the Portland Brewing archives and it’s the perfect beer for summer. With Oregon-sources honey on-board as well as Willamette and Nugget hops this beer strikes a nice balance between hoppy-crisp and honey-sweet. I found the nose to be pleasantly sweet with a grainy/bready aroma. The taste is refreshing with honey in background and a crisp clean finish. Oregon Honey Beer has a light bodied mouthfeel and at 4.8% ABV and 17 IBU you’ll be able to have more than one.
Be sure to check this beer out for yourself and let me know what you think. Oregon Honey Beer is available in 12oz and 22oz bombers, 6 packs and on draft from now until Aug 15th so don’t delay. To find
