From Dogfish Head:
Dogfish Head Craft Brewery and Woolrich, Inc. are excited to announce their first collaboration, featuring goods both wet and dry. The two companies, both dedicated to the true craftsmanship of their products, are collaborating on a limited batch of custom beer and a capsule collection of clothing.
“We're so excited about working with a fellow East Coast company dedicated to American-made craftsmanship,” says Josh Rich, Executive Vice President of Woolrich. “Dogfish Head and Woolrich share so many common values, so it’s been a wonderful experience collaborating with Sam and his team. And of course, it doesn’t hurt that they make fantastic beer.”
The custom small-batch Woolrich + Dogfish Head beer, dubbed Pennsylvania Tuxedo, was brewed with spruce tips from Woolrich, Pa., in Dogfish Head's experimental brewhouse in coastal Delaware. Named after the head-to-toe red and black wool outfits that woodsmen wear in Pennsylvania, New England and beyond, the 4.5% ABV rye pale ale will debut as draft-only at Dogfish Head's Analog-A-Go-Go music and beer festival on June 13. After the festival, Pennsylvania Tuxedo will be initially available on draft at Dogfish Head's Rehoboth Beach, Del., brewpub. It's a limited release, so when it's gone, it's gone.
Additionally, Woolrich and Dogfish have partnered to create a Made-in-the-USA, nautical-inspired capsule clothing collection that includes:
- * a classic chambray men's button-down
- * a long women's beach coverup/dress
- * a 100 percent soft wool throw blanket
- * a beach hat
- * a wool koozie, perfect for the city or the sand
A port and starboard theme will be featured throughout, with red and green anchor-stamped buttons, co-branded labels and a screen-printed Dogfish Head logo on pockets.
"Our DNA’s are very similar," says Dogfish Head President and Founder Sam Calagione. "Dogfish and Woolrich are both family-owned East Coast companies committed to our communities, and we’re both obsessed with celebrating nature and using the best natural ingredients we can get our hands on."
In addition to being available June 13 at Analog-A-Go-Go, the capsule collection will be available starting June 16 in the shop at Dogfish Head's Milton, Del., brewery and at dogfish.com.
The koozie has red and green Woolrich and Dogfish buttons.
