Jack’s Abby today announced it has signed new agreements with two wholesalers in Connecticut and will begin statewide distribution next month.

The Framingham, Mass.-based brewery has signed contracts with G&G Beverage Distributors, Inc. for coverage in the Fairfield and New Haven counties, as well as L. Knife & Son’s Craft Beer Guild Distributing of Connecticut for distribution throughout the Hartford, Litchfield, Middlesex, Tolland, Windham and New London counties.

“We are excited to hop over the border and have our beers available throughout the state of Connecticut,” said Sam Hendler, brewery co-owner and director of sales, “We believe that the beer drinkers of Connecticut will respond to our unique craft lagers.”

To prepare for the launch – and to continue growing its existing markets in Massachusetts, upstate New York, and parts of Vermont – the brewery, which opened in 2011, expanded its production capacity from 7,000 barrels in 2013 to 18,000 barrels.

“This gives us the ability to continue to focus on the extended lagering times that bring out the best qualities in our beers,” added Hendler.

Initially, Jack’s Abby will supply on-premise retailers with its Hoponius Union, Jabby Brau, Smoke & Dagger, Leisure Time Lager, Hopstitution, and Mass Rising on draft. Bottled offerings are scheduled to arrive in early August. Additionally, Jack’s Abby’s seasonal and specialty offerings will become available throughout the year.
