From Boulevard Brewing:

March 25, 2014 – Kansas City – Boulevard Brewing Company will soon be popping up with outdoor outfitter Moosejaw through a new marketing campaign. “Pop-Up Madness” is inspired by the brewery’s newest year-round addition to its trailer park of hop-centric beers, Pop-Up I.P.A. Kicking off later this month, and running through the end of July, consumers who use social media to tag photos of the new beer will have a chance at winning $100 Moosejaw gift cards. The two companies will also collaborate on tasting events, working with the American Hiking Society on a charitable initiative using co-branded merchandise. It is the first time these two brands have worked together on a joint project.

“Moosejaw has captured our attention since they opened a retail outlet in our hometown,” said Jeremy Ragonese, Boulevard’s Director of Marketing. “Their quirky marketing, outdoor retail sales and willingness to work with local companies drew us to them when determining the perfect partner on our Pop-Up I.P.A. efforts.”

Pop-Up I.P.A., or India Pale Ale, is described as a very drinkable, light-bodied ale. The sessionable brew possesses a bold, fruity hop aroma but relatively moderate bitterness. The beer was first introduced in Kansas City and the surrounding area in late 2013.

On March 29th, guests at the Country Club Plaza Moosejaw location will enjoy complimentary pours of Boulevard beers as the promotion kicks off from 4 to 8pm. Tee shirts and glassware will be available to purchase at that store location, with all proceeds benefiting the American Hiking Society. Consumers can enter to win a $100 gift card by taking a photo of themselves enjoying a Pop-Up I.P.A. and tagging it on Instagram or Twitter with #PopUpMadness. Winners will be drawn randomly throughout the four-month program.
